What I Have Been Watching This Week:

Grey's Anatomy  - I have been rewatching this beauty for like the 5th time! Still loving it!

Rectify - What an amazing and intriguing show! I'll write more about it as I proceed.

From my Instagram:

I'm pretty sure Veera loved Mosquitoland almost as much as she loves her toy....

The book I am CURRENTLY reading! I must admit that 15% in, I am not yet feeling it.

  1. I like the cover of The Hate List - so keen to hear what you thought of it.

15%... I tend to give books 100 pages at the most nowadays and then put it aside. Life's too short (etc)!

    1. I kept postponing Hate List for SO LONG (I mean like years) before actually picking it up.

I kept going with The Wrath and the Dawn and finished it - yeah, probably could have spent my time reading something better. I am so bad at DNFing, but recently with more review copies I've been trying to give up with those that just don't work for me...

Thanks for stopping by Deborah :)

  2. I looked at Mosquitoland and had to check to see if it takes place in Maine - mosquitoes are [jokingly called] our state bird.

and re DNFs - Deborah is right!

my post: FW&FD All About the Yard

    1. Haha :D

Yeah, I am trying to learn to become better DFNer, meaning that I allow myself to give up on those books that just don't work for me at all.

Thanks for stopping by Steph :)

  3. I'm curious about Mosquitoland. I love the cover of it and am looking forward to your review. Good luck with The Wrath and the Dawn. I love the cover on that one as well but not every book lives up to it's cover!

    1. Mosquitoland was so GOOD (and the review is up now).
Yeah, The Wrath and the Dawn unfortunately wasn't for me. But oh well, sometimes books like that come across every active reader, I guess.

      Thanks for stopping by Katherine!

  4. The Hate List sounds really interesting so I'll have to check that out and compare our thoughts on it! Good luck with your book, I'm with Deborah - I give books 50-100 pages and if I'm still not feeling it I DNF it. Too many books, too little time, to force myself through something I just can't get into.

    1. The Hate List was really good - a solid 4 star review for me.
Yeah, I am trying to learn to DNF books that don't work for me. I kept going with The Wrath and the Dawn though - I didn't really enjoy it, but at least now I can write a review saying why it just wasn't for me.

      Thanks for stopping by Katy!

  5. THE WRATH AND THE DAWN! I liked that one a lot! I know everyone else in the comments is telling you to DNF but I think you should keep going! It gets easier to read, you have to kind of keep reading... trust me, I felt the same way you did. Anyway, I hope you enjoy all of your new books!

    Have a fabulous week :)

    1. Unfortunately The Wrath and the Dawn really wasn't for me.... I did finish reading it, but ended up giving it only 1.5-2 stars. :/

      Thanks for stopping by Alyssa!
