Introducing Watch.Watch.Watch.

Since the school started again on August I have noticed that I haven't had much time to read books. And because I haven't had time to read any books, my blog has been lacking substance. I have tried to do other type of posts to it, but those really haven't gotten me excited.

A way for me to relax for years, and especially in the last few months, has been watching movies. I have actually applied to study film to several universities in Scotland. The education I have gotten through IB has made me a true critical thinker and I have noticed that my experiences with movies have changed through that. I start to point out the flaws in the plot structure, I know how to respect the certain camera techniques and other stylistic devices, I know how to analyze the work of the actors...
A few days ago I got it... I wanted to blog, but I had nothing to blog about. Then I noticed that I had just watched like 10 movies in the past 5 days (yeah, that is what I do during my Christmas break). I decided that I should start a blog about movies. I could review movies I have seen, do posts about my favorite directors of all time, post trailers and sneak peaks for upcoming movies, share some of my favorite movies of all time etc.

So what do you say? Would you be interested about posts like that? This does not mean that I will be negleting my book blog anymore than I have in the past few months (I am sorry guys). This just means that I would have more to blog about.
Comments? Thoughts? Please leave me those to the comment box. I would love to hear what you have to say.

  1. Maybe you could meld the two things so you didn't have to maintain two blogs?

  2. I know what you mean. Mine was all about books but then, I wanted to blog but had nothing.
So I just kinda blog about books, my life, fashion that kind of stuff.
So I understand and I love films so I'd look at those posts. :)

  3. Lisa, I know what you mean, and I kinda tried that with one blog I had, but then I noticed that it did not really work for me. And these days using of Blogger is so easy that it is easy to maintain two blogs because you can edit them from the same place etc. And at least that way I would be able to make clear distinction between the books and movies because I know there are some people who do not care about books but would love to read about movies and the other way around. I have done some movie related posts sometimes to this blog, but they have been someway related to the books I have read. My movie and book taste are pretty different, so I think that from time to time it would be hard to meld those two in together.

Rebecca, I have tried the fashion blog thing in Finnish... Not really my thing. Even though I consider myself "fashionable", I noticed that I did not have enough clothes to show up in all of these outfit posts! :D And for the past few years by life has been pretty much about school, so I do not think anyone would really be interested about to read about my life. I had a blog when I was an exchange student in US, but I think that the only person who read it was my mother. :D

  4. I vote yes! I like movies too, very much, and it'd be great to read about movies as well.

  7. I would love to see posts about movies, especially if you do mention a critique of things (I don't know/study film so I don't know what these 'things' are, haha) but then I can learn from you! :)
